Bugs & Butterflies Party

Our Bug and Butterfly ball is packed full of fluttery fun.

On arrival guests are presented with themed name badges to wear and keep.

Their faces are decorated as their favourite mini beasts such as ladybirds, spiders, caterpillars and butterflies (complete with a pair of wings to wear for the duration of the party).

We help the children to design and decorate lots of bug-tastic craft items such as bug masks, caterpillar badges and butterfly bracelets.

Our cheeky bird puppets, Flappy & Squawky (who love to eat juicy worms and incy-wincy spiders!), are then introduced to the guests. They help us to tell a story about the caterpillar that turns into a beautiful butterfly and sing some well-known action songs and rhymes.

Party games include creeping creatures, mini-beast poses, caterpillar corners, busy bees and pass the ladybug.

We round our session off with a special Bug & Butterfly ballroom dance followed by singing ‘Happy Bugday‘ together in a circle around the birthday bug/butterfly (this offers an opportunity to present the birthday cake).

This session is also popular at schools and nurseries as a part of the ‘Mini Beasts‘ topic.
