FAQs


How many entertainers will there be?

We always consider the number and ages of guests and ensure that there are enough entertainers to supervise the children, take care of any timid guests and make sure everyone has a great time.

Is there a minimum number of guests?

Yes, we ask for a minimum of 10 guests at each party.

Is there a maximum number of guests?

There is no limit to the number of guests you invite. We will provide enough entertainers to supervise everyone and devise games and craft that everyone can participate in and enjoy.

What if there is a child with special needs or requirements?

That is no problem at all. We will discuss this with you at the booking stage and ensure that appropriate care is provided and all needs are catered for correctly.

How long does the session last?

A typical Party Bliss entertainment session lasts for 90 minutes.

When do the children eat and drink?

We entertain the children for 90 minutes, allowing you to prepare their food whilst they build up an appetite. We then escort the party-goers to the table, before we pack away and discreetly say farewell.

Do you provide food / Birthday cake?

Do you provide party ware and party decorations?

Do you hire the venue?

We will happily help you source a venue if you are struggling to find one and prefer not to hold it at home.

Can we have our celebration at home?

Of course you can, either indoors or outside. We will adapt the format of your party to suit your chosen venue.

How much space do you need?

We can work in any space - large or small - as long as there is enough room for the children to sit comfortably in a circle.

Do I need to set up a craft area?

No you don’t. We will provide a special craft mat and set up an area on our arrival.

What does craft time involve (glue/mess)?

All of our craft is mess free. Rather than using glue we use self adhesive stickers to decorate door hangers, cutlasses, wall hangings and trinket boxes. We also make bracelets with beads placed in individual containers for each child. Appropriate size beads are used depending on the age of the child.

What sorts of games do you play?

Games vary according to the age, gender, number of guests and preferences of the guest of honour, but to give you an idea:

  • For pre-school children we sing nursery rhymes and action songs, have story-time, puppet-time, play simple games (pass the parcel, musical bumps) and enjoy parachute fun with balls
  • For 4-5 year olds we play traditional party games (musical statues, pass the parcel, Simon says) as well as unique Party Bliss games (dancing shapes, hula hoop relay, egg & spoon & tiger feet races)
  • For children aged 6 and over we partake in quiz-time, choreography sessions, corners, obstacle courses and other playground games

Do you provide the prizes for the games?

Yes we supply all of the winner and consolation prizes.

What kinds of sweets are supplied?

We only supply sweets at a session if the client specifically requests them. The confectionary provided in the party bags is discussed with the client prior to the party.

My child has particular songs and games they like. Can these be incorporated into the session?

Of course they can. We make a point of asking this at the booking stage so that we can structure our session accordingly.

Do you provide music?

Yes we do. We have great party music for all ages; themed music, party classics and dance tunes. We ask for your child’s favourite songs at the time of booking and compile their very own party playlist.

Do you provide costumes?

Yes, we provide fabulous costumes for our Princess, Pirate, Knight, Sparkly Princess, Fairy, Pop Star and Fashion parties.

Do I need to hire a bouncy castle or have any other activities?

No you don’t. Our parties are interactive, fast-moving and structured, so there won’t be time for the children to do anything else.

How long does it take you to set up?

Your host will arrive at the venue at least 30 minutes before the entertainment start time.

What type of face paint is used?

We use top of the range Snazaroo face paints which wash off easily with soap and water. We always check with the adult holding the party for any known allergies to the face paints.

What type of make-up do you use?

We use top name brands such as Mac, Benefit, Bobbi Brown, L’Oreal, Nina Ricci and No.7. We take hygiene very seriously and ensure that brushes are washed thoroughly after every party and cleaned between each child having their make-up applied.

We always check with the adult holding the party for any known allergies to any make-up.

Are the arm transfers easy to remove?

Yes they are easily removed with soap and water or a drop of baby oil.

What’s in the party bags?

We select quality gifts that the children can use long after the balloons have popped and the cake has been eaten! The contents may vary but will always be within the same theme and to the same value and quality. Please visit our Party Shop for further details.

Can you entertain at other events eg. Weddings / christenings?

Yes we can. We provide a tailor-made package that takes a broad age range of children who often don’t know each other and create a fun atmosphere with everyone actively involved, allowing the grown-ups to enjoy the day. Please visit our Events section for further details.

Can you entertain at a corporate event?

How far do you travel?

We are based near Wrexham and travel throughout North Wales, Cheshire, Shropshire, Manchester & Merseyside. We charge a nominal travel fee to some destinations. Please ask for details at time of booking.

How do I pay?

You can pay by cash, cheque or directly into our bank account (details can be given on request). We require a 25% deposit at the time of booking and the balance on the day of the party.

What happens if a child doesn’t turn up? Do I still get charged for them?

Yes you do unless you give us sufficient notice as we may have already organised the personalised craft, bags, badges and costumes.
